My work is united by a strong sense of margin and breathing room. I tend to work in a more flat, graphic style, often inspired by mid-century shapes and line work. I take the knowledge from my physical art practice, and apply my knowledge of collage, tactility, color matching, and composition to my digital and print work.
ABSOLUTELY NO Generative AI will be used in my work. I do a lot of work in Adobe products, which use artificial intelligence for certain tools like auto-detection in photoshop. I understand that some people would prefer not to give support to Adobe and offers working in Affinity upon negotiation. This may have an effect on the timeline.
I’m Emily. I am a graphic and layout designer by day (and also at night). My specialties are in book layout and print design. I enjoy building on a concept and baking it into the smallest details. I want my designs to aid in ease of understanding as well as make things accessible to people with a variety of life experiences. I think it’s important to seek perspectives different from your own as a way to better understand yourself.
